Why is my uPVC door not closing properly?
During particularly cold or particularly hot months, your uPVC door may have contracted or expanded slightly, causing it to not close properly. If you think this is the case, when the weather’s hot take a cold, damp cloth and wipe around the top, side and bottom edges of the door.
Can you reduce the height of a uPVC door?
Either way, you could remove the sill and fit a stub sill(a upvc one can clip on to, or be screwed to the bottom of the frame and will add just 5mm to the height).
Why is my door not closing properly?
Wonky hinges are responsible for most door closing issues, so make sure to examine them before anything else. Loose screws or a door that appears to be sagging are the main signs that the hinges need a refresh.
